Cameo Systems has designed, supplied, and commissioned a disabled refuge call system for retail giant Marks & Spencer at their new anchor store at Westfield shopping centre London – reputedly the largest in-town retail development in Europe.
This project is that latest in a number of emergency communications initiatives undertaken by this prestigious retailer, and as their security support partner we have, on this occasion, designed a specialised intercom for building compliance with British Standards and the Disability Discrimination Act.
The disabled refuge call system consists of a modular control panel connected by an independent link to remote hands free units in each public stair well, and the system allows a disabled person to alert the central station to their predicament, enabling appropriate action to be taken.
